The Secret Sisters

The Secret Sisters are Laura and Lydia Rogers from Greenhill, Alabama. Their close-knit sibling harmonies and emotive songwriting have garnered them three Grammy nominations and drawn collaborations with artists like Brandi Carlile, Bob Dylan, Jack White, and T Bone Burnett.

In 2014, the band was caught in a legal battle that resulted in bankruptcy and the loss of a major record deal. In the aftermath, the band crowdfunded their third record with Brandi Carlile and went on to be nominated for Best Folk Album at the Grammys.

1504 has collaborated throughout this journey, producing music videos, live performances, and short documentary films. Today, the Secret Sisters have made five studio albums and continue to tour their songs exploring themes of family, resilience, and the human condition.

To be a harbinger for their honesty in these songs and to watch them work together, to see the tension, was one of the greatest gifts of my career. Those were two very powerful people at a very interesting point in their lives.
